Deborah Williams argued for listing polar bears as threatened under the Endangered Species Act in an opinion piece published today in the Anchorage Daily News.
Recognized as the largest four-legged carnivores in the world, polar bears are symbolic of our states strong, extraordinary northern spirit and natural heritage. Found in only one place in our nation -- Alaska -- polar bears are now threatened and deserve protection under the Endangered Species Act.
